M&M MEAT SHOPS LTD.

POSITION:Product Consultant

SUPERVISOR:Store Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Store Manager. This position incoroporates all of the multiple forms of retail sales. Responsibilities include receiving product, organizing and merchandising products, product consultation and product selling. General duties also include light store maintenance.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
This position requires employees to complete the following activities:

To effectively complete the responsibilities of this position, the candidate must be able to complete the following:

1. Be responsible for selling all products within M&M Meat Shops product lines. Complementary and suggestive selling techniques are extensively used.
2. Provide extensive customer service by giving specific and detailed product knowledge and courtesy.
3. Receive deliveries and organize products appropriately. This includes merchandising specific products for sale and organizing products for storage in the freezer. Stock rotation is an important aspect.
4. Organize and maintain inventory counts.
5. Implement sales promotions by preparing window signs, handling freezer door strips and removing “old” sales materials.
6. Update menu boards as required.
7. Provide general light store maintenance (cleaning counters, dusting shelves, etc.) and general equipment maintenance (microwave, jet spray, etc.)
8. Handle general banking procedures, including the organization of bank deposits.
9. Utilize the P.O.S. computer system for sales information.
10. Complete re-pricing of products as required for special sales promotions (flyers) or for price “mark downs”.
11. Organize sampling programs, including the cooking and promotion of food.
12. Implement appropriately the MAX marketing program policies & procedures to all customers.
13. Complete other related duties as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

 Strong communication skills – interpersonal, telephone, customer rapport
 Initiative
 Knowledge of a Windows based computer environment
 Motivation
 Fully capable of lifting boxes and working in a cold freezer environment
 Retail Experience
Reliable transportation to work
